Treated Tours
Come and work together to solve our unique scavenger hunt specially designed for Halloween. Lights will be dimmed (not off) to make finding the items harder. Wiggle Waggle Ween
A fun Halloween event for the special dog in your life. With sensory challenges that will have your dog working for yummy treats. Dogs who arrive in costume will get an extra surprise. Don’t forget to stop by our spooky selfie station for a quick pic. Each dog is free with adult admission. Reservations are required to help keep dogs apart.
Craft show
Local crafters will be proudly showcasing and selling their unique, carefully handmade wares. Tables are available for $20 for the first table, with each additional individual table costing $10. This pricing structure offers an excellent opportunity for vendors to set up multiple displays, enabling them to present a wider variety of their distinct and creative products to visitors.

the unveiling of the Rubik's Cube mold exhibit
The museum has been loaned the original molds for Rubik’s Cube to place on display for a limited time. Jay Horowitz will be talking about his involvement with the Ideal molds and his invention of the Sudoku Cube. He will be signing autographs as well. Just announced: famed Ideal Toys executive Stewart Sims will be joining us remotely for the exhibit unveiling! He will be sharing his stories of how he went to Hungary and negotiated for the rights to the Cube on behalf of the Ideal Toy Company, in his role as the VP of Marketing for Ideal's Toy Division. Hear the story from this firsthand source! There will also be a Q&A session after his talk! Also, for this day only, anyone who brings their own cube and can solve it in less than 5 minutes can get free admission to the museum. The event is included with admission to the museum.

12:00 Noon: Stewart Sims* - a presentation via Zoom
Legendary Ideal Toy Company executive Stewart Sims will share with us his
firsthand account of negotiating the rights to Erno Rubik’s invention for Ideal Toys.
Stewart, in his capacity as the head of Marketing for Ideal’s Toy Division at that time, is
the one who traveled to Hungary on Ideal’s behalf to negotiate with Erno Rubik and his
representatives. He was involved with Erno’s appearance at the New York Toy Fair to
promote the new product, and with the discussions about naming of the new product. A
real chance to hear history firsthand! A short Q&A session will follow.
12:45: Jay Horowitz* (in person) on the Ideal Purchase, and Sudoku Cube
A lifelong participant in the “toy game”, Jay has crossed paths with just about
anything to do with playthings! He will share with us the story of how his company,
American Plastic Equipment, Inc., came to own the original Rubik’s Cube molds that
were loaned to the museum. He will also share how the Rubik’s Cube played a major
role in his invention of the Sudoku Cube.

Come and enjoy all sorts of vendors of Marx toys and trains and more. 80 tables of items to explore. For vendors, tables are $40 for the first table and $30 for additional tables — limit of four tables. Admission is $15 for adults and $7.50 for children. This will cover admitance to the show and the museum for both days. You can purchase tables on our shop page.

Fairy Garden
The opening of our Fairy Garden. All children that come to help welcome back the fairies will receive a set of wings and a handmade tutu, learn to plant a flower, hear a story, make fairy dust, and more. All adults accompying the children are free. The cost is $20 for the first child and $15 for each additional child. You can come in or call the museum during open hours to register, or buy tickets on our shop page. Rain date June 7.
Create Your Own Fairy Garden Plot
Create your own Fairy Garden Plot at a FREE event at the museum. Be a part of creating the museum’s Fairy Garden. Enjoy an afternoon of painting, gluing, and imagination. Each child will make their own fairy garden plot that will be featured in the museum’s fairy garden this spring. All supplies are provided but we welcome you to bring items to make your fairy garden house special. Please RSVP for this event. Admission to this event does not include the museum.
